  1. EU oil consumption is down 20% since 2005. And I guess future consumption will keep dropping 1% per year only taking account that plug-ins are gradually replacing the ICE fleet.

  2.  @MrToradragon  Sweden has a huge paper industry where much of the energy comes from the wood itself, so it all depends a bit on how you count what numbers you get. But yes, the 50% hydro is of electricity only. Much, much less of total energy.
