@guywithdacap4713 good that you draw the line 500 years ago, since the Mongol conquests were quite severe. Regarding US aggressiveness and lethality, I'd like to remind you that hospitals and doctors are really dangerous, and also police. Don't unnecessarily give them reason to intervene.

@julianskinner3697 here's an explanation: Putin feels he is Russia, and that he/Russia deserves to be respected because of its size and history. However, the US has decided too much since the Russian Empire's partial collapse in 1990, like Kosovo and other things, and not given Putin/Russia the respect he craves. So this respect has to be created, and Russia again propelled to a position as a great power. Here's another explanation: Unfinished business. The second iraq war was unfinished business efter the first. GWB wanted to resolve it with honor. Crimea and Donbass was unfinished business and Putin is aging. He needed to resolve it now with honor to be great in the history books. Taiwan is unfinished business. Xi needs to resolve it well before leaving office in 5-10 years.

@DoloresJNurss the system isn't buggy as much as it's deliberately very broad and sensitive to make it very hard to game. It doesn't cost yt very much that we're angry at censorship, but it would cost a lot to have to manually check more comments.
