I don't know what that bill was but this says he's a Democrat

Maybe he thinks these people would actually get jobs and work and earn a living? Not very likely going by statistics

I believe that's why they used to have public hangings. It was supposed to be a deterrent to anyone else to do the same crimes. I don't know if it worked or not though
4
I heard similar but not quite the same. It was don't do the crime if you can't do the time. But look at what they're doing they got that basketball player out of a Russian jail when she committed crimes against Russia knowing darn well what she was doing when she did. He's full seem to think nobody needs to pay the price for what they're doing themselves included

@outdoors-um9pi growing up I never wanted to cross my dad. I was seeing this to five kids and listened to all the stories about when they misbehaved in the punishments they received. None of it was out of line but I didn't want punishment so I behaved myself LOL. And being 58 and my parents were a little bit older when I was born I was raised a little bit differently than I think a lot of people were. I was taught to stay away from drugs. Even though I am on prescriptions for pain they don't work but I refuse to go to anything stronger because I'm terrified of becoming addicted to anything. Common Sense really needs to kick in at some point people. And if you don't have any common sense to begin with hopefully you have decent parents who bring you up right

True there's enough non-prosecution going on now to last a lifetime that needs to stop

I have multiple back issues as well as four different forms of arthritis. I had one doctor tell me the only thing he could do is give me Oxycontin or Oxycodone 10 mg four times a day. I said you know my life may be messed up because my body is so messed up but I'd like to live what life I have. Thank you but no

@outdoors-um9pi yeah my dad was gone a lot too. He worked for the railroad. But we were always told your father can handle things again when he gets home and he did. The one that I remember though is when I was learning to drive. Drove home from downtown which really wasn't very far. My sister sitting in the backseat griping about my driving the whole way. Pulled in the driveway extremely slow and pulled up to the garage. The problem is when I got to the garage my sister had grapes so much it sounded like a hundred people talking to me at once and all of a sudden my mom screamed stop. It's a good thing I wasn't where my sister said I was cuz if I had been I would have driven through the garage door and into her car. But being is how I was barely moving and I hit the divider between the two garage doors the only damage was a little bit of torn up wood and paint loss on the garage. I was scared to death for my dad to get home from work. He laughed at me. Tell me my older siblings had done much worse when they were learning to drive. I miss both of my parents very much

That may be but I don't see how we can go back in time and suddenly release people. They knew what the consequences were when they did whatever they did now they're paying the price

I'm afraid people of every color will always find reasons for racism I would like to see it stopped but I don't think I ever will

And I say good for you no matter what color your skin is

But if you're poor how can you afford the drugs in the first place? My parents didn't do too bad raising five children on one income. There were no extras most of the time. There were not piles of Christmas presents they were not piles of birthday presents. You got a few at Christmas and one or two on your birthday. But there was no money to go out and buy drugs. So I find it hard to understand how is there that poor they got in that situation unless they're dealing

@jeremywingate4950 okay then I guess I'm very fortunate. I have lived in constant pain for 32 years and never been in that bad of shape. And all I can say is thank you God. Because I can honestly say that I believe prayer and answered prayer is the only thing that's gotten me this far.
1
And if you're like me the side effects are driving me crazy and it's not killing the pain.
1
@shellyconley913 that's fantastic! I just haven't found anything to kill the pain.
1
I don't know anything about drugs did you buy on the streets. And the only reason I know anything about the prescription drugs is because I have lived the last 32 years in constant pain. Unfortunately nothing works to kill my pain. And I am unwilling to try things like cocaine that scares me even more than the pain

Again I'm not sure what the Omnibus Bill is
1
You're right what a novel idea. But a very good one LOL
1
No I can't believe that it makes no sense

Try controlling the president and getting him to stop with this crazy spending. Try to get the us to stay out of other countries business because from what I understand Ukraine and Russia reached an agreement until the US got involved and told the Ukraine to bomb something else. Now here we go spending trillions of dollars to go to the ukraine. I'm seriously starting to wonder how much truth there is in that Joe Biden and his son are flooding money over there to launder it and bring it back as their own. How about impeaching our presidential Administration that isn't doing their job and it's going against even the constitution of the us. They're not following their oath of office because they are not keeping our borders closed and safe. I agree Mr cotton needs to do his job along with the rest of them
1
You might have a point. But I don't think we need to go back 20-30 years and let people out because we're changing the laws now. They knew what they were when they did what they did
1
@patriotsongs I disagree. Plus who's to say it was unjust? Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
1
And he wants to let people out of jail so that we can support them outside of jail instead of in jail
1
@lordmeandor2328 again that may be. But I don't see how we can go back in time and change the laws or the rules when they knew what they were doing when they did it. We can change it now if need be. But honestly I don't think it needs to be changed. We need to get these drugs stopped and short of shooting people I don't know how else to do it. Do you? Rehab doesn't seem to work most of the time
1
Well I feel blessed to have never seen it so I'll have to take your word for it

@jeremywingate4950 you're right everyone wants a degree and/or experience. Where do you get experience if nobody will hire you? My son is in the same Circle. The difference is he's not been in trouble with the law but he still has the same problem. His dad died in his arms when he was only 15. I could not afford to send him to college. Therefore he screwed because he can't go to college and get a degree in anything. So I understand what you're saying. The only difference is like I said we weren't in trouble with the law.
