@aarons8295 they could have. But how could they know somebody from Afghanistan was going to ask a question they would not be able to understand? Furthermore if you're going to ask a question of someone who speaks English you should speak English plainly enough that you can be understood. These people come here and they do not put any effort into learning the language and then they get mad because you can't understand them. I feel guilty in a doctor's office when I have to ask them to repeat themselves because they don't understand them and I think I'm being rude. The rudeness comes from moving to a country and not learning the language of the land. If I went to Afghanistan I would expect to learn to speak whatever language they speak. And if they couldn't understand me that's on me not them

I disagree I couldn't understand her either. And it's not because of lack of trying. It's because the accent is so thick you can't understand. It's very simple. If you could understand her good for you maybe you should go apply for a job explaining when other people can't understand the accent.
