@adangamez3608 this is not true whatsoever, you keep commenting this about bears, and now tigers, quit spreading misinformation, I’ve worked around big cats. This ain’t true.

@catfishredneck88 warning shot would have probably scared the animal off. Officer did the right thing though. Tiger would have feared for its own saftey, released and ran due to the bang. If ifire another shot to its head. The tiger had no access to his shoulder, only his forearm, and that was almost severed anyway. The worst could have been it tearing the rest of it off. But he would have been in no different of a condition. That’s as bad as it gets with his circumstances.

@adangamez3608 I never said he wouldn’t die, without medical treatment he was definitely a goner without it. That was never the point of the argument. You are trying to differ from the central point. A loud shot from a firearm would have definitely have a high chance of scaring off that cat, as there is not many things they can associate that with, except lightening. It would have definitely spooked it enough to run away. But it may have not, there is a chance it may not have let go, he then would have been able to shoot it to kill. Not saying what the officer was wrong either, As for the laws, It’s hilarious as if you act that you know what your talking about when you really don’t 😂. This incident took place in Florida. Generally speaking, you are not wrong. Warning shots can be considered illegal. But it Varys state too state. In Florida, a bill was enacted to allow warning shots and displaying of a firearm to be legal and go without criminal charges. The officer definitely could have fired a warning shot, and most likely gotten away with it due to the circumstances, as long as the weapon wasn’t discharged in the direction of a person and in a safe direction, he effectively did the same when he shot and killed the tiger, could have just aimed a little more to the left and “missed” , woulda gone right in the dirt.

Officer did the right thing, but couldn’t he done 1 shot next to the tiger before he killed it, Probably would have scared it off and made it let go from sound of shot. Sad situation all around, all caused by a Total peice of ** that out his hand in the cage. No words to explain. -IQ

@adangamez3608 So illogical, tigers aren’t bears, simple as that. Cats will generally retreat especially when they hear a sound much much louder than them, like a lightning strike. Also it was behind a cage, couldn’t of killed him, just torn the rest of his arm off, which it already had done by then.
