  1. Even if it did have rifling the projectile would not spin. The projectile does not come in contact at any point with the “barrel” and there are no gasses to spin the projectile as there would with a rifled barreled firearm. Using powder, gases, combustion , to push out the projectile and spin it. Even if the barrel was rifled , it would still maintain the same spin.
