If Mexico did have Russian nukes of their own that would be a no go and you know it. The threats from the US would be non stop.

Most likely because he doesn't see Finland as a threat, which I'd say they aren't. Ukraine however on the other hand is different given what's been happening since 2014.

The US has no reverse gear and think it's the 50's and the red menace is alive and well. Not only out of touch at home but abroad as well. In addition US foreign policy post WW2 has been atrocious. I'm not giving the USSR a pass on FP, but since post Soviet Russia that's changed entirely. The US has never let go of the cold war and Russia at least tried to.
