It's so interesting, because my Mom followed all the health and food advice that made sense.
Watched what she ate, had yogurt with bluberries for breakfast or lunch a few times a week, homemade soups, meat, potatoes, vegies and salads for dinner. Never drank alcohol, until maybe 10 yrs before her passing, when we started occasionally making her Appletinis for her birthday 🎂 🥳 or other special occasions! 🍸
She walked and exercised daily, until her hip broke and she fell. Surgery was a success, but she never fully recovered because she was stricken with Alzheimers & then Parkinson's, which took her life at 84. They both lived thru the worst of WW2 in Europe.
Meanwhile, my Dad is going strong, & is 96 now, He ate everything he could get ahold of and drinks like a fish. Never exercised or took supplements...
WTH?!? It doesn't make much sense, except his mother lived to a few weekss before her 100th birthday! Mom's father lived to be 98 as well, but her .om died very young...
