Watching the Trump's in action bring two images clearly to my mind: 1) the Dunning-Kruger effect graph, and 2) the Gov. from Blazing Saddles signing whatever's shoved in front of him as he looks at his secretary's ample assets and mutters "Work, work, work."

I couldn't name a Taylor Swift song but what I've seen of her, what she says, she seems to have a really good ethical and moral centre. She cares for other people and those who don't have a voice with the reach of hers. Getting young people involved and voting is a great thing and good on her.

He certainly does need help; help to get into an orange jump suit.
14
Poor Alina. Lost the post at Trump's elbow to loony Loomer.

I think that Georgia should at least send a cease and desist stating that they reserve their right to sue for copyright infringement, just to put another bamboo sliver under DJT's fingernails.
6
This is "disruptive tech" which Elon and the tech bros all laud loudly.
5
I'm so looking forward to the Sheriff's changing the locks on Mar-a-Largo. Come on Monday!
5
You should do a 'Guilty' tee-shirt of him in an orange jump suit, behind bars, gripping the bars with his tiny hands.

Where the document is stating "the Trump company, that took over the Trump business after it went bankrupt in 2004, went bankrupt in 2009" reminded me of the credits sequence from Monty Python and the Holy Grail; "the people hired to finish the credits, after the previous people hired to do the credits were sacked, wish to inform you that they have just been sacked." Llamas all the way down. 🤣

@DrachenJager1 I suspect you're right about someone else putting up the collateral for the bond company. The financial monitor over the Trump orgs should be able to tell if Trump assets have been pledged so if none were there's something crooked going on.

Nancy Mace talking about a man in a suit wearing makeup: was she talking about Donald Trump?
4
Wasn't the jury anonymous? Is this person actually one of the jurors? Perhaps this is why Trump doesn't want a hearing. He only wants this allegation in the media - not to be scrutinised by the court.

I love it when people talk about GOP politicians going to "kiss the ring" of lil' donnie because, though I know the origin of the expression, it holds a somewhat different meaning for many of us from the land down under. Picture lil donnie dropping his pants and bending over to receive a kiss upon that place where the sun don't shine. A perfect picture for the degree to which these people will humiliate themselves to a weak willed, feckless, dim-witted child-man.

I would be sitting here in Australia smugly smirking but for the fact that our right wing parties are now trying out some of Trump's appalling rhetoric for size following his electoral win. When America gets a cold Australia gets an STI.
2
Trumps hands as he speaks remind me of that little wind-up monkey doll that bangs cymbals. I can't get it out of my head and it's hilarious.
2
Biden can now have the 6 supreme court justices arrested.
2
Trump might not want to play so hard on king-like immunity given the fate of Charles I. Also, if Trump has total immunity for whatever wrongs he's committed, then so does Biden. So his claims that Biden is wrongly driving these prosecutions of him fail because Biden can do anything as President.
2
Surely the case before the Supreme Court will have no bearing on this as the question asks if a "past President" has an immunity, not a prospective President. Therefore the motion can be dismissed out of hand.
2
Poor Judge Cannon. All these motions backing up there. We should send her a bulk supply of prune juice and psyllium husk to help her get it all moving.
1
Trump: Hey, Supreme Court, look, squirrel!!
1
Biden should now send Seal Team 6 to arrest the gang of 6 rogue supreme court justices for treason against the constitution. How'd they like them apples?
1
Is this a dead cat bounce? Bouncing off a stair on the way down.
1
A loathsome dude doing loathsome things. And yet people will still vote for this guy for President. Inconceivable!! <pronounced with a lisp.>
1
Could they elect a person who is not an elected member of congress to the speaker role thereby gaining an additional vote?
1
Sounds like they are going for mistrial based on ineffectiveness of council.
1
If Hannibal Lector said he loved Trump he was probably talking about foi gras made from Trump's liver. Plump and fat and full. Lector famously liked to eat the "free-range rude" which sums Trump up nicely.
1
Is this "Blazing Saddles" in real life?
1
This is an ex-parrot.
1
Are they bucking for a mis-trial? The three pro hac vice lawyers trying to have their permission to appear withdrawn so that Trump has no representation?
1
If they're going to be that specific, surely the 2nd Amendment doesn't cover anything other than a muzzle loaded gun.
1
Trump should be imprisoned for the contempts at least. Give him house arrest or postpone imprisonment 'till after his new term for the other stuff but at least put him inside for two weeks for the contempts.
1
He obviously didn't file because he was being sarcastic. ... no wait, it's a cunning strategic move in a complex game of 3D chess ... ... no, he did file but the Biden controlled DoJ canned it ... (Occam's razor) he dumb and so are his lawyers.
1
I would not be surprised if it's the DOGE kids who set up the toe-sucking video. It seems like the kind of childish thing they'd do to play up to Musk.
1
Nothing Trump does is principled. He is driven entirely by fear of being held to account for his wrongs. He will say and do anything in order to avoid being required to pay for what he's done.
1
Apparently, not sick enough as they voted a convicted criminal and sexual predator into the highest office in the land. Perhaps the only thing more intolerable to them than a felonious sex offender in the White House is a competent woman.
1
I worked in a bank in the late 1970's to early 1980's, before computers were introduced to the teller's stations. The number of times a day I had to sign my name was huge and the variation in my signature as the day progressed was significant. I also had to manually inspect customer's signatures on cheques, comparing them to the sample on hand. Signatures can vary wildly and we very seldom bounced a cheque based on the signature not matching the sample because it is well understood just how different legitimate signatures can be.
1
This is Alina "faking being smart"? Enough said.
1
Trump should be jailed immediately for 2 weeks for the contempts. If they delay the sentence on the other accounts, that doesn't matter so much to me, but he should spend a little time inside right now!
1
Listening to you here was FUN. A lovely, precise dissection of the situation.
1
The second Chesebro video clip near the end (13:06) is missing. Pity, I'd have liked to see that.
1
So if Trump is immune from prosecution for anything criminal that he does, Biden is surely immune for any illegal things he does while in office. So if he is taking bribes or kick-backs, unless an impeachment gets across the line, he's home free. How does that sit with the MAGA mob?
1
Can Trump be committed to prison for the contempts but have a prison sentence for the other 34 convictions deferred pending appeal? I think he should get a taste of prison even if only for 5 days or so.
1
Sifting through all this data would be like looking into the mind of the man himself: I.e. very much like sifting through a septic tank. I hope they wear good HazMat suits.
1
Alina Habba would rather be pretty than smart because she says she can "fake" smart. She has too high an opinion of her acting abilities. She thinks watching a few episodes of Perry Mason makes her a trial lawyer.
1
So does Mike Johnson still think he's Moses?
1
The paper may be white now, but as Trump gets more nervous the papers will be yellow and then brown. 🤣
1
Obviously "preserve, protect and defend" encapsulates "support" but on steroids because of the emphasis by repetition.
1
Trump waives his big crayon and yells "Avada Kedavra!" <crickets>
1
His e-mail sounds like a typical scam e-mail we all find in our 'spam' folder.
1
STAFFER: "Yeah. [Laughter] Now we have a problem." Someone was aware of just how wrong this behaviour was and my guess is that this person is cooperating.
