  1.  @SoundCubed  I have two Dell Inspirion 1525's from 2008. One runs LinuxMint MATE and the other runs Pop-OS!, both based on Ubuntu 20.10. They run really well with a little 120GB SSD and only 4GB of RAM. Good reliable hardware with great operating systems. No reason to throw these things out 'cause they just keep soldiering on.
