  1. Trump is well known for making agreements, taking what he wants from them and then not making good on his obligations. It would be very bad for Zelensky to sign an agreement for the rare earths on the basis that security guarantees would then be forthcoming at a later date. Trump would just never come to the table on the security guarantees once he has what he wants. The more I see of Zelensky, the more I admire him. He's a man with true convictions, who works whole-heartedly for the good of his people.
