  1. I'm also looking forward to Cosmic because as you say, I like tiling but the cost of trying out many tiling window managers in configuration effort is daunting. I've used Terminator as my terminal for a long time because it tiles nicely; toss up a Terminator terminal full-screen on my secondary desktop and chop it up as I need a new session. I want this kind of functionality in my desktop environment as well but without having to build my own config. I've used Pop!_OS quite often on my laptops recently and love it's functionality. It feels pretty natural to me. I'm not sure I'll try the Alpha but who knows. If it's looking good enough that I don't have to reboot three times per session, I could be tempted.
