  1. My system is very old - built in 2013. I have a 120Gb Samsung SSD for the root file system and a pair of 2Tb Seagate HDDs in RAID1 for my home filesystem. It's Debian with Openbox and I started out on Deb 7 I think and have just upgraded again and again so now I'm on Deb 11. Because the home filesystem takes up so little space on the little 120Gb SSD I haven't had any problems with aging/write limiting. I've had two HDD failures on my home filesystem which I barely noticed. I just replaced the HDD, told the system to rebuild the RAID array and all was good. It is so reliable that it's actually pretty boring. :(
