  2. Good on Drew. I'd have loved to see him in our senate. As I understand we have no legislated bill or rights here in Aus. We are a signatory to the International Bill of Rights but that doesn't constitute a local law and it's very hard to use that as a basis of a defence against any charges that might be raised. The right to protest has been seriously attenuated here over the past several decades - gradually but significantly - beginning here in Queensland with the infamous Joh Bjelke-Petersen. I think it's time that we had a true bill of rights, enshrined in our constitution. These rights get shrugged off too easily otherwise.
