@apezilla83 no they’re serious because that’s very real thing in places like Canada… neither system is that great. Ideally there would a private insurance industry but the population actually gives a crap and votes for politicians that make laws preventing regulatory capture and lobbying. The govt runs nothing well and healthcare would be no different.

Healthcare isn’t free so what you mean is the taxpayers should pay for it for everyone. And we’re already spending a trillion $’s more than we take in every year so gonna have to be a lot of cuts to make it work without bankrupting the entire country.

@ haha again, irrelevant. My race, gender, income and shoe size are all irrelevant. I also don’t live in LA but can tell you the crime is horrible, I don’t work in an Amazon warehouse but can tell you it sucks, I don’t live in Canada but can tell you that wait times for a specialist are very long compared to the US. I don’t have to live somewhere to know true things about it.

@ in the US about 25% of people wait more than a month for an appointment with a specialist like for cancer… that number is 60% in Canada and similar in other govt healthcare countries. There are a ton of other statistics like that which people like you love to ignore and act like don’t exist but they do. Which is why I said that both systems suck and the one we have now isn’t clearly worse than others although it definitely has issues. The bigger issue is regulatory capture.
