You say that but the VAST majority of people would do the same - people are generally cowards and will act in self preservation if it means ignoring a possibly violent situation

@astridvvv9662 I was a cop for years and have been in probably a dozen high stress situations while either off duty or after I changed careers - the VAST MAJORITY of people will absolutely freeze when ish hits the fan because most people have never been in a situation like that and don’t have the training or instincts to know how to handle it without guest processing, thinking, then beginning to act. This is not only proven scientifically but I’ve seen it dozens of times irl - if ur not that person and have been put in a life/death situation and acted quickly when others are frozen then hats off to you buddy. I’m in healthcare now and have watched a patient go into anaphylaxis (totally unexpectedly) and watched a NURSE totally freeze and then fumble the Epi-Pen so bad that I had to take it from her and jab the guy. I’ve watched dozens of people stare when a guy dragged his wife out of a hotel yelling at her and I had to stop my car and intervene. The fact you think this isn’t the default way most people act tells me you haven’t been in many is any at all really bad situations.

@TentinQuarantino_ tell me you’re broke without telling me you’re broke lol By your logic poor people wouldn’t commit violent crimes except the opposite true so seems pile like reality and you aren’t on the same page

@TentinQuarantino_ sounds like total BS - but even if it’s not it literally has nothing to do with “rich people being mean “ lol

@JB_Fraulein_Kunst I’m a former cop and have intervened in all sorts of possible deadly situations - I’m the guy that you WANT as ur neighbor if crap hits the fan. You misread what I said - the vast majority of people will mind their own business, this is been proven time and time again. I’m not one of those people but most of the time the people acting like you have to be some deprived selfish person to not call 911 every time you hear a fight are the same people that won’t risk their own a$$ to save someone else. Again, I’ve done it more times than 99% of society and have watched dozens of people freeze and do nothing when a dangerous situation happens while I’m the only one DOING anything.

@lvs47lvs47 again, I’m not the type to sit back and not help, I’ve done it before and would do it again. That doesn’t change the fact that I can find you hundreds of videos where someone is getting attacked and people are walking by and doing nothing, not even calling 911. It’s more common for people to not help. That’s all I said.

@Ashley-wu7hy EXACTLY - most people either don’t want to get involved or they rationalize to themselves how it’s not really anything bad happening. I was a cop for years and it takes a lot of mental grit to run into a dangerous situation but I’ve done it and will continue to do it. But that’s not most people - it takes training and thought, it’s not natural.

@LifeisANovel not cynical - just realistic lol - once you see the true depravity and violence that people can inflict on each other how indifferent most people act then you can’t unsee it. People are generally cowardly, including most of the people in this comment section saying they would’ve done this and that but have never been in a life or death situation of any kind

@bdml77 you think most people would act to help if it put them in even the slightest danger? Then why would we need a law to force people? I think people in good neighborhoods think most people will help - plenty of places in and out of the US where you’re on your own

@denisemartinez1903 or maybe you’re actually crazy but saying men believe men is just like saying women believe women who lie just as often as men - so what?
