  1. The letter isn’t just suspect - it’s an obvious witness tampering, which you don’t have to do if you’re innocent. The mom says the letter is true, the suspect said it’s all fiction. Because that’s part of the story they didn’t get straight before being asked separately about it. She did it 100%.
