  2. The severity of injury/condition being treated usually determines whether it’s ok to medically treat a family member. It’s common place for a doctor to write blood pressure medicine for family member - but you typically wouldn’t have a family member do high risk treatment or procedures on seriously I’ll people. A bipolar drug addict that seems autistic is definitely more similar to a high risk treatment that a family member shouldn’t do. If it was simple seasonal affective disorder that’s probably fine to have your cousin treat. So yes psychiatrists are similar to every other practitioner

  3. Oh she knew from the very start where it was leading - why else do you invite a mentally unstable cousin to come live with you, take care of ur 4 yr old and give them free therapy? No psychiatrist in their right mind does this.
