  3.  @reevesjkd Putin isn’t afraid of Trump, he respects him and believes when he makes a threat that he will back it up with action. Which is exactly the relationship you want. “Fear” isn’t the emotion we need Putin to have - it’s respect and belief we will do what’s needed to protect ourselves. Also - no one knows the future and no one is asking him to predict with 100% certainty. But he won’t even say something simple like “I’m fairly certain Trump winning is a better outcome than Harris having won” which is a true statement.

But over the years I've realized it's not normal AT ALL. "Normal" is to listen to something, make a judgement and then never look into one way or the other. Going thru life "not knowing" seems like a waste.

  13. Her analogy of not forcing someone to give a kidney has a major logical flaw. In the case of abortion if nothing is done, the life is saved. if action is taken the life is terminated. This is the opposite of her analogy. Of course we don't force people to save other people - but we do prosecute them for taking action that causes a death. She's got a great love on "individual's freedom", except of course if you're still in the womb, then she'll crush your skull, rip off your limbs and suck you out.

I was watching him when Covid started and he was slow but eventually realized he was wrong about it and had no prob shifting opinion. I’m only speaking for myself, I didn’t have to watch to know Dave would mop the floor with him because Cuomo has never been honest about anything, winning a debate with him is beneath Dave tbh. And I give PBD a lot of credit, have been watching him since the beginning and he’s honestly contributed to my success in business. But having Cuomo, who is a hologram of a human with zero interest in honest debate, on his payroll just isn’t worth whatever “long term” gain you think it’ll have. And there are plenty of people on the left that are genuine people that aren’t just lying crooks like Cuomo.

So literally the only value he could provide is his own perspective and opinion but he want actually give it. Bret on the other hand has no problem giving an opinion and just admitting he got stuff wrong when he does (like Covid).   32. “Faith” is required no matter how you explain the world, its origins, humanity and many other of the most basic things about our world. It can be faith in a religion or faith in certain occurrences that are assumed to have happened but can’t be explained. Science can’t actually explain consciousness - and religion explains it based on faith that it is the result of a higher being. Anyone whining about religion is just practicing another sort of religion whether they recognize it and accept it or not. Christian values clearly have produced some superior civilizations which is why people like Dawkins have to admit it.

Well for everyone that doesn’t really know what’s going on halfway around the world - Bassem did a really poor job of explaining why anyone should listen to him and why what’s going on is so bad. Idk what’s going on because the propaganda is so heavy from every side it’s impossible for me to really know anything but seeing him talk didn’t help me understand. I know you’re but allowed to question Israel so that’s the big red flag for me but otherwise it’s just too muddy for people in the west to be sure about any of it with any level of certainty.

  36. Niall… Darryl Cooper can’t be right because he hasn’t sold any books, he’s not a “real” historian and I had never heard of him. It’s funny, what Darryl said has obviously triggered so many people (ironic given this show name) but I haven’t heard anything but people sending ad hominem attacks and just asserting that he’s a Nazi and just wrong. First of all, his podcast series isn’t even out - but if it’s anything like the Israel/Palestine one then it’ll have a large amount of primary source material so as soon as someone can listen to his series on WW2 and actually point out, factually, where he’s wrong and why then I’ll listen. Everything else is just piss and wind.

Plus, defending his murdering brother during Covid and making a joke out of it was simply something someone with any sense of morality or justice would find abhorrent. I’m a business owner and obviously understand PBD can do whatever he wants with his business - just like my customers can go somewhere else if I do something they don’t like. PBD built his brand on open honest debate - having an unrepentant lying propagandist on his payroll is a direct violation of what he purported to be, that’s all I’m saying. Having Cuomo as a guest a few times is one thing, but paying for him to work for you is another thing all together.
