Sorry man... Fluoroquinolones have literally saved millions of lives at this point. Of course they have some side effects, but they're generally very well tolerated. Also, not sure what idiot prescribed a fluoroquinolone for COVID but that was a mistake. He needs to be on HCQ, zinc, inhaled steroids and Vit D/C if he wants to get the best evidence based treatment as of right now.

@haleys4899 between myself and other pharmacist friends I know thousands of people that have taken levaquin and other fluoroquinolones with zero issues. Like I said, that class of drug has saved millions of lives and limbs at this point, of course there is a trade off of side effects in a small number of people. It's like people want a free lunch... All the good effects of drugs with zero risk. Life doesn't work that way. Every single decision in medicine is a evaluation of risk vs. benefit. And I'd have to see all these "many people" that have had these devastating effects from fluoroquinolones to really know what you're talking about. Saying someone lost their vision after taking a drug doesn't prove the drug caused it for one thing, sudden vision loss isn't something that those drugs cause in general so not sure what happened to your friend but doubt it was solely because of a drug.

@prittyugly86 haha yeah sort of. Actually benzos by themselves are very very difficult to "overdose" on and cause death... They're pretty much always mixed with opioids or something else when someone dies. The real problem with them is long term use and dependence.

@haleys4899 sorry if speaking from actual experience seems like an ego trip to you... Yes, I'm sure taking a few days of levaquin caused her to go blind and there were no confounding factors or variables. Do us all a favor and don't use antibiotics next time you have an infection of some kind.

@haleys4899 ok I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were that off.... Defend a doctor I don't know? Forgive my parents? I haven't even implied I'm defending anyone. And my parents are great so not sure where you pulled that stuff from.. I'm guessing you've got some repressed issues if you think I'm brainwashed and need to forgive my mom just because I think drugs aren't without risk, but by and large the good outweighs the bad so saying drugs are sketchy is a dumb generalization. Hope you get your issues worked out. Peace.
