@bhe8336 my part of the US we usually say "hey what's up" or "what have you been up to".. so basically the same as your "what are your plans" kind of question. I've always hated the how are you doing question and usually just answer it with "I'm doing", which really makes no sense and confuses people just enough so they leave me alone.
