  2. something i thought was smaller than it is, is the mars rover, cos it's a "robot" and kind of remote controlled i always pictured it in my mind as table top sized, but in fact it's BIGGER than a car, a lot bigger. drones, especially military, can get quite big, the ones that you see in places like afghanistan are light aircraft size, the ones that fire missiles are pretty much jet fighter size. i used to watch lots of "audit videos" and here in the UK you can fly anywhere (used to be able) that is not restricted airspace with a drone that is less than 250 grams, the commercial ones are 249 grams specifically for this purpose, and you can fly them anywhere, over police stations (that's what the auditors used to do) and i've even seen one flown over a top secret military radar facility at 2AM, where the military police come out but just spent half an hour chatting about drones, and the guy moved to other spots and the same happened. but that's why i have assumed drones to be small, these ones you can carry in one hand and land them in your hand if you want. they are classified as toys, which is why they have no restrictions.

  3. i used to see the ISS and shooting stars all the time when i smoked, i'd go outside at 2AM or whatever and stare at the stars, i quit smoking just after musk starting his starlink project, he has 6000, yes SIX THOUSAND or more satellites in orbit and when they are first set adrift up there they all march across the sky in rows up to 50 long, which i never got to see, but of those six thousand at least 400 have fallen and burned up on re-entry, so that's a lot of sightings right there.
