UBI - for a start i'm retired and i have "a basic income" i'm an artist and musician though, so my time is FILLED to the brim with a variety of activities, i have worked hard half of the time (i used to carry concrete around all day) but even as i child i never wanted to "work", i wanted what i am now, playing all day, but i hope playing constructively, not everyone is that lucky, but they could be if educated - people get taught they can't draw, for instance, everyone can make marks. what i wanted to say though is despite some pessimists saying "they will waste it on booze" i have to remind everyone that millionaires don't sit on their arses all day cos they "have enough money", EVERYONE wants MORE, UBI enables you to get on the first three rungs, food, housing, energy bills. then the world is your oyster- go ahead and waste it if you want, but that's your problem, if i get my UBI, your problem is no longer my problem.

what i found strange is that we are more than happy to hand over the planet to our kids. as long as robots aren't actively killing us, what is the difference between humans dying out as a race and robots being the next generation, and humans dying out and handing over to our children? unless you specifically intend to live forever if the next generation is robot, but even smarter than human, isn't that our legacy? frankly i think terraforming planets isn't going to be fast enough and we will engineer humans to fit the environment (isn't that evolution?) and we will merge with AI and the human race will become something entirely different.

i got one too many 30 bans on facebook and realised i only need it to store photos on and promote my youtube so i stopped using it for - whatever it was i used it for. i got banned from twitter for "bullying" but i got the guy who reported me banned for bullying ME, so that's kinda weird, but the only reason i'd like twitter is for freeware. it's a shame though that we need this severing to realise how useless social media really is.
