i get into heated arguments about colour, it's counter intuitive but there is no colour in light or objects. light is made of photons, photons have wavelength and energy levels and when our brain reads the wavelength it assigns a colour to it, and likewise the energy level dictates the brightness, but the colour exists only in your head. it is quite possible (though unlikely) that the red strawberry you see, appears green in my brain, but as we both label strawberries as red, i will "say" it's red too, even though i see green.
the really weird thing, sound - "noise" - doesn't exist anywhere, even in your brain it is a simulation.
(an illustration of the colour paradox is red shift in stars, a white star will appear red when it is moving away from you at high enough speed, but the same start seen from the other side, coming toward you, will be blue shifted - this can't happen if the colour is in the light ray - the colour is only in your head.)
