  1. sound is weird in that it is totally simulated and exists nowhere. objects and light have no intrinsic colour, they have wavelength and energy levels that our brain applies colours to, but photons are - colourless. sound is the same, it's compression of a medium - there is no "noise" - but whereas we can see colour inside our head, there is no noise inside our head - it's entirely simulated. same with taste and smell - smell doesn't exist, just collections of different molecules that affect our senses.
