  1. ah, so if neutrinos leave first, then (was it interstellar?) then you would detect neutrino's BEFORE whatever it was caused the solar panels to be damaged arrived? in the film there is a panic on because they detect "a neutrino storm" and it wrecks the sails or solar panels, and i thought this was daft cos, well you won't detect anything until it's too late, if it's moving at lightspeed and you detect it, it's already arrived. but if you detect the neutrinos, are you implying that the "storm" could actually be following? that there is a lag between "harmless neutrinos" and the actual shockwave of whatever from the star?
