  1. my dad used to work for w&t avery from the 30's up until at least the 60's and brought home all manner of weights and weighing machines, i worked with him for a while and to this day my little fingernail on my right hand is split in two from being crushed between 2 1/4 ton weighbridge testing roller weights. i recal punching extra lead into the bottom of weights to bring them back to their standard.
