in fact what i've personally found is people are really lazy about selling, i've had three or four really nice guitars at quite good prices, especially from charity ebay, that were filthy but cleaned up really well, one that comes to mind is an ozark 3345 that looked terrible in photos, greasy and rusty broken strings and a canvas bag that had rot, but when i got it, once over with lemon oil and new strings and wow, lovely looking and sounding little box. i've found lots of guitars (in particular three LG1 / 0's i've had) come to me looking awful, but cleaning up a treat.
