1 - maybe they'd not be interested in us but i'm sure they'd want to explore. 2 - all this doom and gloom about mankind wiping itself out is nicely balanced by cooperation in space exploration, the ISS is a brilliant example of what we can achieve. 3 - only a few days ago brian cox was saying that given all the criteria for making life on earth, we may be the only technical civilisation in the galaxy. 4 - my personal feeling id it will be too difficult and long winded to terraform planets, and humans and AI will combine, and that's what's happened to alien life, and why we won't meet it for quite some time.
