  4. interesting, all this time (2025) i was under the impression thatcher was gung-ho to "teach the argies a lesson" i had no idea she had to be coerced. much as i am against risking anyone's lives let alone our troops i think it is laudable that we liberated the falklands people, even at that cost. we might have to do something similar in this trump era.

  5. why is it that the people who claim to be "chosen by destiny" invariably lose. i guess arrogance does something to leadership. "we want our island back" is probably a more grounded approach than "god told me so"
