  1.  @rossmanngroup  surely if youtube had any kind of case they could take the adblockers to court and it be decided there, the fact they haven't (not that i know anything about the law) seems to indicate YouTube is scamming us.

  2.  @zachreads  i'm below 1K subs, but i have had 145,000 views, i do not get paid by youtube. why should i pay for ads i don't want or even buy stuff from?

  4. i don't get it. i've NEVER bought anything from a youtube ad, i likely never will. okay if you want to scorch your brand into everyone's brain by repeating your name every thirty seconds, well, that just annoys some people. i've been using youtube since 2006, and although i'm still less than 1K subs, people have had the pleasure of 148,000 views of my stuff FOR FREE, i haven't made a penny from youtube, i'm not sure who the beneficiary is, me for youtube or youtube for my content, but if they don't pay me for my content, screw em. and, i got around this no trouble, and will they target downloads next, cos all you do is download and watch ad free.

  5.  @mikelee9173  lol, it's not about morals, it's about not wanting ads, not wanting tons of ads, not wanting ads that serve ME no purpose. i never bought anything from an online ad, also and more to the point youtube has been using MY content for FREE since 2006. maybe i get the benefit of the platform, but they definitely get the benefit of my content, and i get - NOTHING.

  6. youtube hasn't paid me a penny for any content i've been adding since 2006, maybe i get the benefit of their platform, but also maybe they get the benefit of my material - but they don't pay me, so complaining i don't pay them is petty. besides, i have NEVER bought a product through FB, insta, youtube or any kind of social media advertising. i don't need their advertising. they won't profit from showing me ads. i got banned from twitter - i do not miss it. i got a number of bans from facebook, culminating in a 30 day ban, all that id was show me i didn't need facebook either, i just use facebook for photo storage anyway. so when youtube hit me with the "three videos thing" i just downloaded the videos and watched them that way instead. but much as i like to watch videos anytime on lots of subjects, it's not going to kill me to go elsewhere - or set up my own platform.

  7. well yes. although all the adblockers i'm currently using (let me see - ah 6 plus noscript) are free and i haven't seen an ad for weeks.

  8. lol. yes, whenever i need something the first thing i do is see if there is a free or crack version. the FIRST thing i do. i don't mind paying for something i think is worth paying for, but if i don't have to pay, i won't, i'm a bad boy.
