this "they just waste it on booze" notion is disgusting, ALL the studies of UBI that have been done (that's free money for everyone, $1000 a month or more) has shown that people don't waste it at all, they USE IT, for healthcare, childcare, education and to get better jobs. it is so disgusting and small minded to label people as wasters and demean them - i have come THIS close to being homeless myself, while OWNING my own home and driving a jaguar to the food banks. it's pathetic ignorance of how society works.
