  1. brit here - i've been pretty healthy most of my life, but i did have to visit a hospital a few times, stitches in my thumb in 1975, a shard of metal in my eye in 1980, a car crash in 1990, my son being born i suppose, and when i hit 65 all hell broke loose and i've had ct scans, x-rays, i have to take tablets and have blood tests, numerous visits to my doctor - i paid for some cough medicine the other day - and that's all. i go private on dentistry, but even my dentist will put me on NHS to save money if he feels it's going to be worth it. "free" healthcare is possible folks.
