  1. just to add my five penneth, i happen to like roger penrose idea of aeons, roughly it goes: we have our big bang, time passes and we have the "now", eventually everything gets swallowed by black holes,. but then the black holes evaporate until all that's left of the universe are photons, and as photons travel at the speed of light distance becomes meaningless because they experience no time, time is menaingless, so no matter how "big " the universe is, to the photons we have our singularity, and the big bang, and he wraps it up by saying as time didn't exist before the bog bang, it's also the FIRST big bang, again.

  2. a photon travels at the speed of light, and although it appears to take about 8 minutes to get to the earth from the sun the photon "experiences" no time at all, in fact it can bounce off earth, travel around the universe a zillion times, from now until the end of time, and to the photon no time has passed at all......
