  1. as with anything there is more than one way to look at this, let's get off this planet and make it a nature preserve, even then it will still have problems of species endangering each other. on the other hand, do you lose much sleep over any of the thousands of creatures that are extinct? maybe this is the fate of humans, to become machines (through AI) and to replace biological creatures with robotic ones. the thought might not be very appealing, but as i keep pointing out to people, we are all going to die sooner or later, and we don't lose much sleep over who is going to inhereit, does it matter if it's a natural, biological creature that came about by accident, or a machine that a human designed, a robot mofified, and will possible last forever?
