it's always surprised me that people are quite happy to carry a full can or a full bag, but as soon as the can is empty or the bag is empty they have to throw it away right now!! ugh icky bags and cans!! why is that? does it instantly become dirty rubbish? i've always liked this saying "when you throw something away, what exactly do we mean by "away" ?" that is, nothing goes away, it stays right there. you just relocate it.
