if you put a hydro - electric dam on a rocket you could produce enough electricity to, oh, hang on.... i have always thought that lighting a big fire under a tin can is a silly way to get into space, and when we finally meet aliens from another galaxy they'll laugh their little green bollocks off when we explain how our space ships work. steam powered space ships sounds really sensible, it's providing the electricity is the problem, batteries are not a good answer - i don't know what is though. dammit jim i'm an artist, not a rocket scientist.
