  1. I know of a number of companies that have migrated from CentOS and RHEL to Rocky Linux and AlmaLinux, not happy with the direction that IBM/Red Hat has been going.

  2. For those that are too young to remember, Hans Reiser murdered his wife and went to prison. SuSE Linux (before OpenSuSE) used RiserFS as the default file system, but few else did.

  3. I started using Slackware in 1993 and am now a retired Unix/Linux Sys Admin. At work I went from Unix System V to BSD, HPUX, AIX and finally RHEL. My daily driver for years has been Fedora starting when it was still called Fedora Core. Recent updates in Fedora 41 caused some of my custom applications to break and the time to de-bug and re-compile well it was a deal breaker. So I installed Debian 12 Bookworm and and all my hardware is working including my printer and scanner.
