  12. I have one ancestor that was an officer in the Union Army, my grandfather fought in the Great War, one ancestor served in Congress! But there was also a horse thief that was hung and a Nazi General who was tried and convicted of war crimes! We were always made aware of these facts, to take pride and use as examples the good men and to realize there is also evil in this world that touches us all, in way we can't fathom. I have always thought myself a better man for having learned these lessons.
