MAGA started as the Tea Party, a party that just drifted along on the fringes of politics being composed of every nut case with a political bent.Then came Trump and all the lost crazies that had no home found one and hope in him. And so the Tea Party morphed into the Cult of MAGA. As to the original members of the Republican Party, they had fallen for Newt Gingrich's "Power is all" and "Win at ANY COST" and in Trump and MAGA saw access to power and to winning, the country be damned! Now they are headed to that same dust bin of history as the Federalist and the Whig parties that preceded them. And the sooner the better!
