  1.  @alastair9446  the Stuka was considered obsolete by the start of WWII, France fell quickly to better ground tactics NOT due to the use of the Stuka.

  3. Yes very effective against civilian targets during the Spanish Civil War, but even the German High Command considered them obsolete by the start of WWII

  4.  @biohita  He's dead so not doing much laughing is he? And just because he was successful in a Stuka doesn't make the Stuka any better, the P40 was just as good if not better in the roll it played and many would still argue it was obsolete after the 1st year of the war.

  5. Yes the Stuka was effective in the SPANISH CIVIL WAR! But was OBSOLETE by the start of WWII. It should have been placed at the BOTTOM of your list not at the top, or not included at all! ALL the other bombers fulfilled their rolls with much better success during World War 2!

  6.  @Hamez-ln5sf  Numerous obsolete aircraft were still used and were effective in the early stages of WW2, the Fairy Swordfish springs to mind, that didn't make them any less obsolete or belong on this list.
