I like Generals that do not betray their oaths and take up arms in violation of that oath! THEN go on to betray officers they had trained and cause the deaths of THOUSANDS. And then lose.

@murrayflewelling1258 and those that think so highly of Lee and say in his heart he was against slavery, are delusional. When his father in law died, the slaves owned by George Custis were to be set free. Lee used every means possible to circumvent the law and keep them as slaves! Add to the fact that Lee had taken an oath to defend and protect the US and the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. He took up arms in violation of that oath, so much for being an "honorable" man.
