  2.  @Roof_Pizza  It was locked up, the man was left unsupervised with power tools for over an hour. The only thing taken from the safe was the gun, I guess he wasn't interested in my family papers. I was at work so not home when it happened, this is why the contractor lost his bond. Oh and the alarm was off so the contractor and his crew could work. Yeah after that I invested in a much better safe and no one is allowed in my home when I am not present.

  17. They have rules against making wakes in areas of the canals, speed boat drivers are stopped and fined too! The wakes cause damage, remember those building and the pilings they sit on are hundreds of years old!

  19. Car dealerships are independently owned franchises, one could argue he's protecting local Florida owned and operated businesses and the sales taxes they generate for the state! But yeah I'm sure it's more about protecting people that donate to him.

  22. In most cases insurance cost is minimal or even already included in many home owner policies. I doubt many gun owners would care. As to new gun owners? Most would go to a gun shop, be to just "check with your insurance company" and still buy a gun.

  36. Do you want a cop that is a domestic abuser? So what are they doing on the job? Might be they don't belong in the profession! As to soldiers, yeah they are issued firearms, but access to live ammunition is very restricted unless in a combat zone. And if a solder commits domestic abuse, are they fit to wear the uniform?
