  1. Do you want a cop that is a domestic abuser? So what are they doing on the job? Might be they don't belong in the profession! As to soldiers, yeah they are issued firearms, but access to live ammunition is very restricted unless in a combat zone. And if a solder commits domestic abuse, are they fit to wear the uniform?
