Yes DeSantis is an underhanded political hack, that said I do take issue with Ms Lawrence in her final words, disparaging members of our military, implying they can not become good educators. I agree 100% that DeSantis is a self serving ass and that his plan is just that. But the finest educator I have ever met was a man named Mr Morgan. He started as an English teacher, then Guidance Counselor, later a High School Principle. He was always soft spoken and at the same time pushed us all to learn and grow! He was also a former member of the USMC and had been a drill instructor at Paris Island. Coming from the Military and being an good educator are NOT mutually exclusive.

@TheTechnoPilot both he and my father were Marines, Mr Morgan served in Korea before becoming a DI and in the Corp, DI's are considered tough as nails and mean as bull dogs. But your point is taken, no not everyone is cut out to be an educator, but to say all former members of the Military are not, is just as stupid as Ron "Rob-em-blind" Da Satan's plan.
