  1. Wouldn't it be that formation of a star changes to black hole when there's too much matter involved and the gravitational center reaches certain pressure and density? Like already critical mass before the formation is even finished...

  2.  @ProfessorDaveExplains  So, a active star in final stage is always required to cause a black hole, or: gravity can't do it alone? I was imagining an amount of matter pulling to a center and get instantly too massive to become any other body.than a black hole and prevent star formation.
