  1. They lack the desire to understand what they see. I can't imagine this. As a nordic guy, I look at the sky from what could be called the top of the earth. This is made clearly visible by only looking at the phases of the moon and Venus over time. The problem starts when I would deny the solar system and ecliptical plane, the earth's axial tilt and Venus being the 2nd planet, while everbody sees it.
