  1. It doesn't. The better parts survive and reproduce beter. Mutations are actually copy errors that can survive generations and happen to be improvements. We call this "survival of the fittest".

  2.  @DrMeetPatel  A virus has no sense, nor planning. It's a code that coincidentally can receive improvements that are caused by errors, and pass those to it's offspring.
