  1. Linux became a commercial monolith, just like the rest. Beside PC's there's practically no hardware that runs a pure open Linux distribution. Everything is polluted with closed blobs owned by commercial enities not willing to support control by the end-user. He got his admin permissions hijacked and gets a sandbox. Don't believe it? Try do download a mp3-file and play it with a hardware-compatible executable on Android or Chrome, which cover 99% of all "Linux" computers. See the problem? It's one giant illusion...
