  1. This is quite biased. Youtube can make things suck for you? Only 1 time for me. Youtube doesn't control my computer. Also, Youtube has no natural position. It's part of Android, which is a mandatory piece of software on a significant part of all smartphones. It's also involved in the development of all common webbrowsers. Youtube/Google is responsible for the existance of the adverstising infrastructure that everybody considers normal. This has no practical advantage, so it is intrusion. 1-way communication like reading web-content doesn't technically require local storage of tracking/identification flags. And if it's 2-way we have a user registration. No need to store things secretly silently.
